AR lower engraving questions

I'm looking to build a pistol as a gift and would like to see if I can get the lower engraved.

1. Does anyone know someone who can engrave a lower?

2. What kind of cost?

3. Would it be best to send/take a stripped lower to get it engraved?

Thinking of just having the opposite side of the lower engraved with possibly a small picture and initials. Maybe more maybe less. Right now just look to get some information. I've never had anything engraved let alone an AR lower.
