Any of you know the difference between gen 2s and 3s other than having those useless dust covers?

ehhh not really, I know the gen 3 bottom or floor plate seems to be more secure but I never had a problem with the gen 2's. I can wiggle the gen 2's pretty good if I'm remembering right.

The way the little notch on the back of the magazine is shaped. Gen 2s sometimes have trouble dropping free out of certain ARs, whereas with the Gen 3s they fixed that problem. Most ARs it doesn't really matter

How many times have I heard " Stay away from Pro Mag."? Once I was in Centerville Gun and a guy was asking about Mini 14 mags. They pointed to some Pro Mag mags and the first part of the guy's profanity laced 5 minute rant was " **** Pro Mag!...”
