Armadillos in Rocky Face Ga.

Took the dog out for a walk last nite about 9:00pm and to my surprise had a large Armadillo in my front yard, he just stared at me after a while he ran off. Anyone one else saw any around your area? What should I do to get rid of them?

They return to their hole between 4 and 6 AM. 32 s&w long works, 22lr may bounce off depending on angle.

They are tearing up my place for a year now on and off. Seen one once and the. It was gone. They are a huge PITA.

but not with small caliber low power...might ricochet...and they can be infected with leprosy...

HV .17 HMR will penetrate but nothing .22 will unless you get a chinc in the armor. Yeah the are dumb and blind, but nocturnal, which makes for very late nights. Had a friend who used a small crossbow with hunting tips to good success. But he was both obsessive and a night person.

Supposedly, if you get armadillos tearing up your yard, it means you have bigger problem, grubs and other pests investing it, since that is what the 'Dillos are after.

Do like I do, lure them into the car with dog food and take them up toward Chattanooga and put them out...

We trap them..... Professionally. In case anyone needs the help. They can tear up an expensive yard pretty quick.

Kill them all on sight, just as bad as wild hogs.

Broadcast spray your entire yard with a strong pesticide (Permethrin) . No more grubs = no more animals looking for them.
