The 200 yard armadillo shots are honestly one of my favorite parts of deer huntingMy former hunting buddy and fellow attorney shot one with a .338 Remington Ultra Magnum from about 50 yds.
It blew that critter into about four big parts and a couple cups of what looked like pink applesauce.
Never lived in the city. So my go to and it works 100% of the time, buck shot.![]()
This. I kill a ton of em and almost always at night. You can hear em comin a mile away. Suppressed .22 with a good light.I hunt them every night in my back yard. Its quite enjoyable
I'm using a suppressed 300BO with a green light. So much fun! This. I kill a ton of em and almost always at night. You can hear em comin a mile away. Suppressed .22 with a good light.
I'm not in the city either so I have used slugs and they are most effective! Most of the time I use a suppressed rifle since my family is asleep, lolNever lived in the city. So my go to and it works 100% of the time, buck shot.![]()
I had great results with the higher powered 22 rounds like Stingers or Velocitors. Anywhere in the shoulderish area and they are DRT. I have a different zero with those rounds vs standard velocity, so I have one rifle sighted for the high velocity and another for the standard velocity. While neighbors and noise isn't really a concern for me, and my AR was my first thought, ive decided im just gonna be using my son's 10/22. Because its lightweight and its a built for competition, absolute tack driver.
