Thinking about a weekend trip to Asheville North Carolina. Any recommendations? Great places to eat with a good view of the mountains? What’s there to do up there besides your the Biltmore ?

Great food.

City is more “liberal” than the rest of the state.

Papas and bears - excellent mexican, salsa bar and free bean dip
Biscuit head - (go early love the jam bar)
Sylvia is close and nice to walk around
Looking glass falls
DuPont falls (hunger games)
NC arboretum
White duck taco
Museum of history
Stone bowl
Rhubarb
Grandfather mountain (little drive)

Biltmore at Christmas is extra nice!!

There’s a million awesome breweries and restaurants. The Sierra Nevada complex - AKA Malt Disneyworld - is on the south side. Burial is another good one. Catawba is decent. There’s a BBQ place across the hallway from Catawba that’s good. Curate’ restaurant and Forestry Camp are on the fancier side but very good. Red Ginger Dim Sum for Chinese food - the best I’ve ever had. A local sake’ brewery that’s not bad. We loved the Biltmore. Lots of hiking, waterfalls, parks all around too.

I always stay at the Hyatt which is on the edge of downtown. It has a nice rooftop bar (awesome views), indoor heated pool, it’s always very clean, and walking distance to nearly everything downtown.

Definitely Uber to Fat Tire and end it at Sierra Nevada!!!! Duck fat fries, succulent steaks, and fresh frosty tall Torpedoes!

Lots of great hiking and views too!

You gotta learn to stop sugar-coating your opinions. Where would you suggest is a better weekend trip 3-4 hours from Atlanta?
