Asked to return pistol purchase

Tell them to find a replacement for you or no deal. I'd be an ass. Tell the boss that the gun you just bought is like an AR!
 
Holland Boy, I really like your idea. That way it is all legal. I am not opposed to going down to the courthouse. The whole deal sounds very strange to me as well and I don't like it. Especially being bullied by the owner. I may have misspoke on the age issue. I'm an old guy and the owner said that the kid was a minor at the time. Weather he was 16 or 18 I'm not sure. All in all thank you all for being of great help to me. Never ran into this before. ODT community rocks!!!

If all that goes okay then I would also have the seller find you a perfect replacement and then, and only then, would I return it. Thanks to rbranton. You hit the nail on the head, it's funny that if it was politely explained to me I may have been more accommodating but being bullied as a customer does not sit well with me. HE mentioned that his license was on the line, not my problem. I want to do right and I think that I will propose a replacement before I hand it over. I don't like to play hardball but I don't like to be bullied either.
