ATF being sued over approving legal machine guns

Yes they-ATF stated a trust was not a person so a bunch of folks submitted form 1 to build a "new machine gun" and were approved but the ATF back pedaled and changed approved forms to disapproved forms. They requested the approved stamps back they had mailed out and updated "approved" e-filed forms to "disapproved".

The ATF has waffled back and forth since its inception 1886 and its subsequent update in 1920 (prohibition-Volstead act). Dependent on the administration/leadership it has changed priorities. They continue to update ATF 4473 which is the controversy of why it would be illegal to "buy" another qualified person legal to own a firearm with that person's money but not to "buy" and give it to them.

It was never illegal to transfer a firearm to another law abiding person legal to possess a firearm until the ATF "updated" their form. But when you're the ATF your word and policy tends to be treated as law.

I would be interested to see what the laws would be when it came to building your own drop in auto sear or lightning link .

I know these would be pricey to feed, but I still want one. I probably would only use full auto occasionally. It's just knowing I got one that would be cool.

I thought we were all "gun guys" on this forum. I just don't get all the negativity and defeat before the battle begins. I see all the Moan Loab symbols everywhere and the clever sayings in signature panels, but when it's time to fight, I see a lot of white flags!
