We don't have to go through congress.. as long as the federal circuit court hears the case.. I doubt the supreme court would want to hear this either.. like they keep out of the 9th circuits gay marriage rulings. If they can just prove the 922 does not apply to trusts, then we're golden and NFA is done.

He made a good point when it comes to trusts. My trust is a very kind , law abiding stack of documents. I trust it to own a machine gun.

I think he's got a good shot. The ATF is very inconsistent when government rulings about trusts. We shall see though. I also am curious to see if anyone (like high level politicians friends) had post 1986 machine guns transferred to them as civilians in accordance with the FOIA request he sent in. THAT would be interesting.

The only thing that concerns me is if it fails that they might try and take a stab again at removing trusts

Yeah, that's a bummer. Especially if your CLEO refuses to sign off. Even though they have a duty to sign.

No worries on that for me. My favorite sheriff Victor Hill will sign mine. Some Cleo are anti gun which sucks. Ole Vic is pro gun.
