What he brings: His quickness is his best asset, as he can utilize his snap anticipation and initial burst to be disruptive in the running game and as an interior pass-rusher from the 3-technique defensive tackle position. He can get blown off the ball by bigger offensive linemen, but not as often as you'd think given his size.

Defensive Tackle Specific Traits
Versus the Run 2 A disruptive 3-technique prospect. Quickness is his best asset. Is quick enough to shoot gaps and agile enough to finish in the backfield. Can get blown off the ball when his pads rise and is never going to be a space-eater. But is tougher to move off the ball than size would suggest. Has a low center of gravity and frequently jars interior OL with his initial contact firing off the ball. Good upper-body power (30 bench press reps matches what we see on tape). Also possesses good core strength and benefits from "low man wins
Pass Rush Skills 2 More effective than statistics (5.5 sacks in three seasons, including 37 starts) would suggest. Good take-off. Is quick and smooth moving. Has active hands that make it tough for blockers to lock on as he works upfield. Has good bend when he gets outside leverage and then works back inside. Runs a tight loop and is dangerous on twists/stunts. Flashes some pop in his upper body but not in the same category as some elite 3-technique prospects (i.e. Aaron Donald). Very quick to sniff out screens. Gives good effort in pursuit. Lacks brute strength to habitually collapse pocket with bull rush.
Quickness (hands/feet) 1 Is a somewhat erratic counter-puncher but is a good overall hand fighter who can get off blocks and makes it tough to lock on. Has very good first-step quickness (though not elite) and finishing burst. Has above-average lateral quickness working down the line and rushing the passer.
Toughness/Motor 2 Is a resilient team-first player who played through pain in 2013 and chose to delay shoulder surgery until the offseason. Doesn't gear down or surrender when teams commit two blockers on him. Plays with swagger. Has above-average effort when chasing the run and rushing the passer.

I guess so. Maybe him and Vic worked well together at Clemson. Not sure didn't watch any Clemson games last season.
