****Atlanta Falcons**** And The NFL In General

Falcons management better be ultra paranoid about making sure nothing regarding playbooks, practices, discussions, etc., are accessible to members of the Patriots organization.

I say this as a lifelong Jets fan: Belichick will leave no stone unturned, and will readily use questionable methods.

I'm sure the Patriots had nothing to do with the fire alarm going off at 3am Sunday at the Steelers' hotel. On the other hand...it is the Patriots we're talking about.

If you aren't cheating you ain't trying :)

We're talking Belichick and the Patriots here. Need to think bigger.

Lol don't you Think that's a little to big

Pats just think outside the box. Not their fault if the NFL doesn't know how to write a rule clearly.

If you want to win you have to play against more than the other team, you need to manage the rulebook, the refs, the environment around you (i.e. shutting up the crowd). When they set up for a game, they try and control everything they can.

They know the rules. They just disregard them

Nope, they don't disregard them since then they would just get penalized 100% of the time. What they do is like what any good NASCAR team does... look for grey areas where they can get a competitive advantage.

I can't count how many times I've heard teams crying about how they 'cheated', only to find that they simply used an obscure or vaguely written rule to their advantage.

That is one (of several) reasons I think the Falcons have a really good chance of winning it all this year. They don't have the prima-donna, cry-baby attitude of a team like Pittsburgh or the Ravens. If the Pats do something 'interesting' on the field, they will answer it on the field, not in some NFL rules committee meeting.

Both teams could have the Pat's "do your job" team motto this year. Both are flexible and intelligent 'out of the box' play callers. They both have their superstars, and they both have a lot of talent and flexibility in their 'regular' players, who are almost always able to step up to a challenge.

Like I said before, I'll be perfectly happy with either team winning this, but I think I'd like to see the Falcons win their 1st more than the Pats win their 5th. EIther way though it should be a fantastic game.
