House arrest?I cant go anywhere anywayz.
You'd be FAR more effective going to personally see your elected rep when they are in office with a few friends or holding a meeting of your local politically active group and inviting them to speak and field questions. Get them "on the record" regarding any anti 2A legislation either real or hypothetical (of course they can still lie with a straight face like Trump but at least they'll be on record)./QUOTE]
If your expectation is that it will be a "show of solidarity", I won't disagree.Been there, done that. We are fortunate to have friends in the GA legislature. The rally is a show of solidarity with our fellow 2a folks from different states, namely ones that aren't as fortunate in legislators as we are, ie Florida. It also has the potential to make a stand in the eyes of the federal level if these occur all over the nation with great success.
We can't leave this mess for our kids to deal with. This should have been stopped in the 30s, 80s, etc but not enough stepped up. Time to man up and deal with this.
I tried. I saw Ferguson's rep when he was in Carrollton, and talked to him about Fix NICS. He still voted for the bill. You'd be FAR more effective going to personally see your elected rep when they are in office with a few friends or holding a meeting of your local politically active group and inviting them to speak and field questions. Get them "on the record" regarding any anti 2A legislation either real or hypothetical (of course they can still lie with a straight face like Trump but at least they'll be on record). While attending a rally can be harmless, you are not going to convince one single member of the general public that the 2A needs defending by attending a rally and dressing like a dbag will have the opposite effect of the 'supposed' proclaimed purpose of the rally. If it's to put the fear of God in our elected reps, then don't announce it, go in full kit, en masse. But at that point, you might need to be ready to do more than talk.
I'll be working.
Blocks and blocks of heads will never look like innocent bystanders. En masse, we have strength. A small group of guys standing around with guns will look foolish anyway. I hope for a few thousand of regular looking people, men, women, and children, happy, smiling, glad to be together.Because then we would look like a crowd of innocent bystanders.
We should all be doing every bit of that, and bless you for it.I will not be attending. I do not need an excuse and I am certainly not part of the problem. My not being at the rally is infinitely less damaging to the cause than the incidents that Soros 's agitators will instigate and main stream media will broadcast. I will continue to engage people daily, demonstrate what responsible lawful gun ownership is like. Keep the pressure on elected official and those who wish to be elected officials by contacting them letting them know how I feel and working for the election of people who are deserving.
dont forget face paint that always makes a good impression
