Would look alot better 'politically' if we are CC. This is a Political gathering, and how perception is as important as our being there in mass. Nobody needs to see each others weapon. We need to play this smart. The Libs and media will make us look like a mad crazy dangerous militia in a heartbeat. They will make us look like the strange neighbor no body has anything to do with, in other words, obsolete and unimportant.

Well stated. This is a political event to foster support for the 2A, not AR show 'n tell time. We need to show the anti-gun crowd that we are normal folks; your doctors, lawyers, clerks, HVAC/plumbers/electricians,teachers, etc, neighbors. Carrying an AR at an event such as this will only lead to the media using it to further their agenda. They WILL pick those guys out of the crowd for an interview; so if you are carrying your AR/long gun, please be articulate, educated, no anger/ego...

Best thing gun owners can do is continue to fight the good fight in courts. Thats where 2nd amendment makes most ground because a legal battle relies in facts, not emotional bull****. Going to a progun rally will just put you on the list if anything; youll do more damage by going to work, earning money, and buying guns or donating to nra

The other side has successfully waged a war of misinformation and appeals to an emotional response rather than logic and facts while we have sat back and played defense while slowly losing ground over time. It is time for a more proactive strategy when dealing with the public. Presenting ourselves in public as responsible citizens concerned for our individual liberty in a reasonable fashion is important. Don't get me wrong. I don't think it will do much good and sway any end result. I just want to be able to look back and say I did everything I could to handle this reasonably and lawfully and that my side of the street is clean. Make no mistake, we are LOSING the soft conflict for individual liberty in today's society. The left's tactics have proven effective. What we do with that realization is up to us. Divided we fall.

Here's the ugly reality. The political left is a master of laying traps. For a pro-gun rally of ANY SORT, perception as other posters are saying is a must. Yes they will cherry pic their photo ops so it is up to the attendees to deny or limit those opportunities. IMHO taking a AR type weapon to a rally at this time is absolutely counter productive and exactly what the left would want - don't play into that hand. I can't go but if I did I would dress professionally casual. No need for camo and tac gear - again that just plays straight into their hand. Nor would I OC but I don't generally OC in public anyway. Remember, there's a reason that sports teams used to have to dress in suits when they traveled. It was called class, and now it's largely gone.

I tried. I saw Ferguson's rep when he was in Carrollton, and talked to him about Fix NICS. He still voted for the bill.
I will contact his office, and tell him what I think of him, and will vote against him in primaries and general.

Every single politician should be primaried every single election. The fact so many incumbents run unopposed is mind boggling to me. But then again, who in their RIGHT mind would bother. So there is that.

Yea, symbolic to the Socialist Liberals that we are all imbeciles and scary people with big black military weapons that aren't needed in America by the public. All it will take is a few of us to prove them right, and this rally will be the best thing going for gun control, high cap mag, semi-auto, and AR bans across our great land.

Please think how you'll carry yourself there, and if you're interviewed, how your words, how you look, and every facial expression caught on film will be twisted by the leftist media to influence Americans how our opinion of firearms is outdated, dangerous, and against peaceful people across our nation.

I'd sure hate to have all that hanging over my head the rest of my days.
