Why has everyone all decided that the cool thing to do is hate .40 caliber ammunition?

Only people who don't operate ask that question. Don't you even operate bro?
I don't get it either, .40 is a suitable caliber. 45 is my defensive caliber of choice. I know 9 will get the job done with +p whiz bang ammo. 45 ball has been doing the job for over 115 years though, and it still does. 40 seems to fill in the gap between the two nicely.

Because 9mm +p++p+pp+ and let's see...oh! It wears out guns even though most people will never run that much ammo through one to actually see that day and it's a high pressure round that operates at the same psi as 9. Another good one is James Yeager said so and Larry Vickers doesn't like it. It's harder to get back on target with 40 vs. 9 is another excuse yet they'll shoot the heck out of 10mm in which factory 10mm ammo found at walmart etc. that's not pumped up is no stronger than 40 loads.

I remember when it was the “cool thing” to LIKE 40. It was a fad that stuck around cause agencies adopted it for a while.

They’ve learned better but some of us knew better from the start.

Now that the FBI abandoned it and lots of police forces follow the FBI, it is not cool enough.

Don't believe the hype, It is a giant ploy designed to bring down the price and increase
availably of those who love .40 so they can hoard the stuff.
