Barrel Threading

I have a Savage .22. I love Savage firearms, but the only draw back to them is that there are no aftermarket parts for them. I know they are a work horse firearm but it would be nice to dress it up a bit. I need to know what would it cost me to have the barrel threaded on my .22 semi automatic rifle.I would like to have a silencer added to it soon. Any ideas what it will cost and who to take it to in the Warner Robins area.

Thread protector looked near seamless on my FNAR.

why?? i have threaded many pieces of gas pipe and yet screwed one up , how hard can it be to thread a barrel?
