There have been a lot of gun thefts out of cars/trucks in the area recently. Two people I know, got robbed on Saturday.
The officers that responded to one call said it was their 3rd of the day, and they were going to their 4th call next.

I hate that its getting like that around there i am 26 and just moved away from cartersville about 6 months ago, for my whole life myself nor my parents ever locked any of our vehicles or even the house for that matter and never ever had anything stolen.

A locked car won't stop anything....neither will a car safe. Best way not to have a gun stolen from your car is not to leave one in it.

Same way in Cedartown. Been a couple of recent sprees.

My street was one of the ones that they hit, but according to police something must have startled them up the street from my house because they left the area quickly.

i have to wonder what was on the car that attracted the attention of the idiot criminal...was the gun or ammo or magazine in plain sight? was there some sort of gun related sticker somewhere on the car?
