Basement waterproofing question

We had some water get into our basement, & after doing some research and getting some quotes, had Aquaguard install their interior gutter & sump pump system.

AG said to give the concrete at least 72 hours before putting the interior wall studs back up. It’s been about 2 weeks since the AG installation, & we had another company come in today and put the interior wall framing back up, & the concrete over the gutter system is cracked/pulling away from the slab.

I’m going to reach out to AG about this, but for those with knowledge & experience:

1. Is this normal?
2. Will it affect the drainage system?
3. Will water/moisture come through here?
4. What’s the best remedy for this?

I had the same job done in my basement, by a different company, ESOG. Looks normal, there’s just no way the new concrete can bond to the old. Theoretically it doesn’t need to even be there at all, just for looks. The water should never make it up that far, once it gets to the drain it’s on its way out.

It is normal. They do make waterproof sealants/paint/caulk you can coat with for extra protection. Hopefully they put plastic down as well underneath. If you decide to seal it go with an acrylic base

I would think twice before using any sealer, probably voids any warranty you may have.

I wouldn't worry about it. You could put some silicone caulk to fill the crack

Not so, new concrete is bonded to old concrete every day.

Polyurethane is the industry standard.
