Beater EDC/CCW Thread....

I bought my S&W 637 Gunsmoke edition brand new about 7 years ago, and since then it's been dropped several times, scraped as I lay down on pavement to check that funny noise from under my car, bumped against brick and cement walls that I got too close to when walking quickly past them.

It's been wet from the rain, and wet from being dunked in lakes and rivers.

It has spent many hours in my car's glove box (not also in a holster) rattling around with coins, keys, pocket knives, washers, safety pins, and other objects that will scratch it.

And sweat. Let's not forget what human sweat does to satin nickel finish on alloy-framed revolvers. There's some tarnishing and some pitting .
