Becoming an M&P fan??

Or just get a 1911.

But then I would have an unreliable, heavy, yet beautiful pistol. No thanks. I refuse to own something that almost always has some kind of issue with mags, ammo, or ftf/fte. This has just been my experience though. M&P's, Glocks, Sigs, FNS, ect have never once given me an issue.

I'd have a 1911 just because, but I would never rely on it in a SD situation.

I'm not a 1911 guy either. I like them and they really are beautiful but they're not for me. If I'm going to spend that much on a handgun I will get another Smith revolver.

The only 1911 I ever had that actually worked without fail with a Compact Citadel 1911 (basically a RIA with some upgrades). Still too heavy but I never once had a malfunction and it cycled everything. Good trigger on it as well. I would gladly have 3 of those over a $1500 "custom shop" Kimber any day.

LOL...Quit buying cheap 1911s or ones "upgraded" by novices. I've put a LOT of rounds through a plethora of 1911s over a lot of years. I've only ever had ONE single malfunction...a failure to feed on a brand new GI style RIA on its maiden run. First shot when bang but it jammed. Dumped the mag, ejected the stuck round...gave it another little spray of rem oil (in hindsight, probably should have cleaned out the factory grease and properly lubed it)....reloaded and it never jammed again. Currently my only 1911 is a Dan Wesson CBOB...I trust it with my life and it is completely incapable of missing :)
