Beginner hunters

me and my buddy are looking for a spot to hunt pigs and maybe squirrel. Tried public land with no luck. Anyone willing to go out with us and show us some spots and do some teaching? Would be willing to pay for some time on someone’s land

Good squirrel hunting is readily available on most public land. Pigs are another thing. If you're just starting out focus on the squirrels. Fun and they teach you good fundamentals like patience and movement discipline. Hunt them with a .22 and you'll learn to be a very good shot if you want to bring home meat.

One of the best ways to hunt them, especially late season, is to simply find a good stand of oaks and sit at the base of a tree. Don't move and wait! Keep your ears open. You'll probably hear them in the leaves before you see them.
