benning px now has guns

In america, nothing really. In america wal mart is usually cheaper than the BX anyways. Overseas however things like jeans a much more expensive out in town so people buy a bunch at the BX to sell to locals, for example. OSI and military police investigate this type of thing and will get you.

Where is this information located?

You sign piece of paper at your time of purchase where they tell you this information. I bought my Mossberg 930SPX from the PX at Benning.

Did it have a DOD number on the form. Im not being sarcastic, I really want to know. I havent bought a gun on base as their prices gennerally are worse than what I get from online or out in town

Nope, its not a DA or DD form, its an AAFES Form with no number, they keep it on file at the firearm counter along with the serial # and model and such. Let me see if I can get ALARACT or Reg on it.

O if its an AAFES form the its not a legal doc, unless its an official military rule. Id like to see one of these forms now. Maybe I need to make a trip and get a gun

From AAFES Website and Can be Found at: https://shop.aafes.com/shop/PublicAccess/DynamicInfoPopup.aspx?ID=NoticeOfIntentToResell&close=n
"Exchange patrons are prohibited from the following: (1) Making (or purchasing for the purpose of making) a sale, exchange, transfer, or other disposition of exchange merchandise or services to unauthorized patrons (customary gifts of a personal nature are permissible). (2) Using exchange merchandise or services to produce income. (3) Making purchases for the purpose of resale by, or on behalf of, an installation private organization or other non-government entity."

Is this form ONLY for guns? If not, then I'm going to throw the flag on this one. Here's what I don't understand-I can buy a Christmas present for someone else at the px (they even have gift wrapping). If that person decides they don't want or need it, what are they supposed to do? They can't sell it at a yard sale? Are they supposed to give it back to the service member who then takes it back to the px? If the person were to sell it how would they know? In GA that person doesn't have to register it. If the px doesn't want that happening then why haven't they established ANY type of protocol or procedure for this example? It's not ILLEGAL and they have no way of even knowing if it were to happen.

That's a blanket PC statement only because they have to. A single man can buy tampons with obviously no use for them. That's seriously true. As the rule states, he shouldn't even be allowed to buy them since its obvious that he is giving them to someone. Don't over think this.

Federal law applies to guns bought at the PX just like any FFL. My GWL does not exempt me from the NICS check on post even though is does off post. Never bought one on post as it's a hassle and you have to jump through hoops to "get permission" to buy. Some prices are OK, most are on the high side...

I re-read the policy. It's written to the service member. It clearly states that it is absolutely fine to give something to someone ("customary gifts of a personal nature are permissible"). No, you cant be a "supplier", but you can give someone a gift. There is nothing that places any requirements on the civilian. They can do with the item as they please. That's why there is no tracking system in place.
