Beretta APX A1 Carry

Anyone have one? PSA has a killer deal on these with rebate so wanted to pick one up but wasn’t sure if they were good or hot gabage. Reviews are mixed with the early APX so hard to tell. But a name brand optics ready gun for sub $250 is hard to beat.

Don’t have one… never shot one…. but I looked at one a while back at a big box gun store because of a sale/rebate they were offering on 'em…. I’ve got a few Caniks, a Hellcat and P365 that all have a better trigger than the APX Carry…. hell, even my Taurus G2C has a better trigger!

Because of all that, I decided the APX wasn’t worth my money…. even for "cheap"….

You can't compare a Beretta APX to a Taurus G2c, regardless of how the trigger feels. That is the wrong criteria to solely judge the legitimacy of a carry gun. Beretta is made by a respected company, that just happens to be the oldest company in the world. A company that has a long history of designing and manufacturing solid guns that have won thousands of military and LE contracts worldwide.

The other is a f'ing Taurus.......

There are many opinions on ODT…. an my opinion is the APX is worse than a "f'ing Taurus"…. matters not to me WHO made it…. but you have a different opinion of that and it’s ok….

I bought an APX A1 Carry in ODG a few weeks ago but haven't gotten time to shoot it yet.
I am pleased with the build quality...and can't beat the price !!

Cheap gun is a cheap gun. I doubt there is much difference between the cheaper guns.

Kinda like car manufacturers, most have different levels of quality.

That ain't even an opinion. At best, the Taurus G2c is a "good option at it's price point". Outside of that price point, it's a cheap POS.

I manage a gun shop. We sell A LOT of handguns. I can't count how many Taurus handguns I've had to tell customers to send back to Taurus for warranty repair or replacement. Haven't had to advise that for a single Beretta so far.

Yeah… I don’t disagree with much of that…. but yeah, I’m looking at the Taurus and APX as being in the same price point and the trigger was the main focus of my comparison comment…. overall, I would agree the Beretta is better quality than the Taurus…. but when it comes to the "bang stick" the APX is garbage…. and that is disappointing…. would seem to have been easy to make the trigger better….
