In Adairsville, Character's bbq. Pulled pork is awesome, but get the sauce on the side. His brisket is the best I have ever had east of Texas. Michael Character, the owner, came in 2nd last year on the bbq Pitmasters tv show. I promise, you won't regret the drive. Oh yeah, his momma bakes the pound cakes for desert.

BBQ shack in Mauk, Ga. Not really in Mauk either, but they have a Mauk address. It on Hwy 41 in between Geneva and Buena Vista. Stopped there this weekend and was blown away at their barbecue. Best I've ever had, and I consider myself a well seasoned, experienced expert in eating BBQ. I was telling a co-worker about it just today. This place is in the middle of nowhere. They should be on every street corner in America.

Both are good but I'll give the edge to Wallace's. Great tea and stew also. Oh, and technically they are in Austell.

Has anyone ever tried Sticky Fingers? I never tried their BBQ but their ribs were excellent. I ate in Chattanooga but I believe they have a location in Augusta.

Sticky Fingers in Augusta closed in May of this year. That said, I was never impressed with them.
