Man, that 6.5 is too rich for my blood!6.5 Creedmoor. ...if it's good enough to make half inch groups at 1900 yards it should be good enough under 400...
Am I right BangBang ?
Yes that I knew that it came from the 22-3000 cartridge but for the life of me I read somewhere today that 22-3000 round was based of the 30 caliber casing and it did say the 30-30. I read it somewhere today I swear I wouldn't just through that out there. I might have misunderstood the information. However I was familiar with the 22-3000 round.Greg, I hate to disagree, but are you comparing apples to apples in bullet weights? We used to reload for both and with equivalent bullet weights, the 22-250 is only about 100-150fps slower than the Swift. The Swift will hit 4100fps with 40gr bullets, but not 50-55 gr bullets.
Only when you get to the heavier bullet weights does the Swift start to pull away, due to it's larger case capacity. And FWIW, the 22-250 parent case is the old 250-3000, not the 30-30.
