hey guys..;looking for a lever action need to narrow caliber choices. 44 mag--30-30 45-70 no hunting just fun gun ..

shooting .38 special out of the magnum is a lot of fun, and cheap, but the gun itself is more of an up front investment than a 30-30. I like the big bore stuff myself, but there are no more free range T-REX's roaming around in Dixieland so there's really not much need for 'em unless you just dig sending 405 grains of lead at paper or gongs!

The 30-30 is the best choice of those listed. Get a Marlin 336.
