Definitely go to the naval air station to watch the Angels practice !!!! You will not be disappointed. Then you can tour the air museum. I go watch them every time we vacation down there.

Decades ago, there was a deli-type place called Spodee-Odees ( or something like that). The food was good, but they used to put a jar of homemade pickles on every table, that were friggin' FANTASTIC!!! My girlfriend and I ( yeah,,ok,,mostly me) would polish off the entire jar by the time the sammiches arrived!!!
As good as it was, I'd be amazed if the place still existed.
( Now that I think about it, I can't recall if the place was in Gulf Shores, or over in Destin/FT. Walton. )
