Best Pocket Pistol/Revolver

Sig P238 - Small, Light, all metal, great construction, SAO cocked and locked with one ready to rock and six to follow.... in rapid succession... and extra mags are thin and easy to carry as well...

I've gone through the whole succession of pocket guns it seems. I've own / owned the ever popular LCP, the SW380, the SW Bodyguard 380 and finally a Sig P238. The wife likes the SW Bodyguard 380 and I like the Sig P238. The LCP is a great little gun, however a bit snappy and has virtually no sights (although it means nothing to catch on either). The older SW380 is more of a Kel Tec PF9 or DB9 look and feel which albeit small, not small enough for a gun that I can throw in my shorts and go jogging comfortably.

As long as you're comfortable with it, you train and practice with it regularly, run good ammo through it, keep it properly cleaned, oiled and maintained...any gun you choose will virtually go bang when you need it to. All of them have pro's and con's. Find the one you like best and worst case, resell it / trade it for something else later.

I can see that, I do the same thing with a DB.380 and use an Uncle Mike's #3 I think, and keep keys and lighter in the same pocket sometimes. Never had a problem before..(knocking on wood) and move a LOT during work.

If you want to blow off your wang, put a hole in your leg or foot then keep putting stuff like keys, lighters, etc. in the same pocket as your pistol. That is an ND waiting to happen.

The number one rule of pocket carry is to use a holster that covers the trigger. The number two rule is to keep everything else out of that pocket.

Just some friendly advise.

Lots of very good suggestions. My suggestion would be a S&W Model 38, Airweight. Shrouded hammer, will not get stuck in pocket, very lightweight and still shoots .38. Ugly, but a good pocket carry revolver.

My pick is the Kel-Tec PF9. I like the size, the weight, the caliber, and the reliability I've had in mine. I'm also pleased with the 7 yard and closer accuracy. And at less than $300, it's a deal.

Ask Trayvon how he likes the PF-9. Oh wait a minute, the under 7 yard accuracy already spoke for him!

Yeah thats right, I went there...
