Best sports car under $15k?

I guess I'm pretty flexible on price. If I could spend $30k on a car and lose less money when I sell it in two years I would consider it. It just seams like once you get up into the $20's the cars start to depreciate more quickly

This is more what I was originally thinking but I don't know much about what it would cost me to fix if something breaks..
you can pick these up in the market for 10-15k and parts are easy to find...lots of fun..just get it inspected by a BMW tech global or Henderson BMW Roswell great people there and if you are 6ft tall/taller this is a comfortable car with plenty of leg room...Miata doesn't have any leg room unless you are Asian or a woman

Ha. I'm 6ft. Does that really rule out a miata? So you prefer the z3 to the Boxter?

Ok Miata guys.. I know nothing about them. Which one would you buy and why?
Best bang for the buck, and good resale value would be a mazdaspeed. But finding one that hasn't been abused or molested can be a chore.
I prefer 96 to 99, the 99 being the best option. You can find low mileage cars for great prices, my newest addition had 46k and I paid 3k for it. That was underpriced, but the seller didn't care, and didn't use the car. My first miata had 203k when I bought it, I did a timing belt on it, and drove it for another 60k before selling it for more than I paid for it.

Well I am 5'11 and 230lbs, and have great legroom in my 96. Passenger legroom isn't the greatest, but who cares, my wife fits BuckshotBaker BuckshotBaker and is comfortable. Haha
