No other company making guns in 2025/26 is making non optic ready pistols now . It’s a step backwards. But maybe we’ll get finger grooves for innovation

IIRC, there has been a federal lawsuit against banning a firearm according to its name. The result of which the law was nullified.

I have not read all the redundant and panic stricken austistic, so please excuse if this has been posted. Glocks through Gen 5 are easy to put a giggle switch on. Especially now that switches can be 3D printed. Gen 6 had a minor change to prevent the installation of switches, but Cali said no go. Glock is making a change to the sear, iirc, that will prevent the use of switches. Probably in a move to get ahead of the lawsuits filed by Illinois, Maryland, etc. Roughly a half a dozen states have filed lawsuits againt Glock because of how easy and prolific switches are.
Smart move imo. Also, California ranks #3 in guns sales behind Texas and Florida.
The California law will ban the sale of any gun with a sear system like Glock. It does not make the existing guns illegal to own. Not yet anyway.
This will not put Glock out of business or kill their sales in the US. Too many law enforcement agencies use Glocks. Glocks are also one of the best selling guns in the US.
