Our neighborhood is eat up with rattlers. This time of year the big females are out settling their nests. This one was out on the sidewalk by a neighbors house.

Holy moly! Rime for the 22 rat shot to come out of the ammo box.
Those ain't no amateur snakes either. Their bite would cause a messed up situation!
Leave them alone and want be bit rattle snakes pretty timid not aggressive snake.
One of our local county employees got bit cutting his grass. Walked 100 yards back to his truck and drove to the hospital. He took 3 rounds of anti-venom.
August is definitely the month for encountering them, at least in NW GA. Have trained the dog to alert then stay back until told to leave it.
She's a beautiful badass. But yeah, kinda don't want her in the neighborhood.
When I see one of those I feel there a possibility it could enter my house. I Iive in a older house and I have found two snakes in my house so far. So a venomous snake could be endangering my life. Possibly! There is enough venomous snakes around here to keep the rodent population down so if there is any close to my house it's getting the axe. Any other snake that is not dangerous gets a ghetto pass. 🤣 but Mr. Big Fang gets a shotgun blast upside the head. Sorry if that offends you but it's just that simple.
