Once in a while, life throws you a blessing or perhaps a few!
Recently I posted an ISO/WTB ad for CCI Quiet Rounds, as I just purchased a 22 bolt action a day or two before. I haven't seen this stuff around for almost a year. I used to go to a Walmart two exits down that would normally stock it but lately it has disappeared off the shelves. Even Academy is out which made me resort to the good ol' ODT forum.
@trw2094 reached out to me asking me if I needed a few boxes.
I was happy to purchase some as I could not wait to shoot this bolt rifle.
Before I know it, this kind hearted gentleman asked for my address, in which I replied that I couldn't accepet it for free and yet he insisted that I enjoy my new CCI quiets that he sent in the mail.
My cousin sends me a text saying you received a package. In it was four boxes of CCI Quiets!!!! I even ran to my Mom and told her how perplexed and happy I was. I told her how someone who I never met reached out to me to help me acquire these hard to find rounds. She looked at me and smiled and told me that I knew exactly what to do.
It has been quite a strange year full of chaos but then an act of kindness appears and it makes me reflect on how grateful I should be for everything that I have. I am indebted. I have no words and I am way beyond my ability to express how thankful I am for this ODT community. Yesterday I met a kind woman who was so willing to help me out with my future career in law enforcement after I get out of the Marines. Today out of the blue I get a random gift of kindness in the mail. It just doesn't get better than this. I will never forget these kind of things. I would like to pass on this kindness and I will be thinking tonight of such a ways to return back to the ODT community what you guys have given to me, especially @trw2094
Again, a HUGE HUGE HUGE shoutout to Trw2094. You are quite the gentleman for which I am indebted for. I will make sure to send a smile for every round I shoot.
