Cop gets a search warrant for ODT records and finds that palmettomoon bought it. Or at least committed to a deal in a pm thread.

If I misunderstood the question, think of the old westerns where the guy is accused of stealing cattle, about to be hanged, and presents a bill of sale showing that he bought the cattle. Same as a Walmart receipt. "I didn't steal this crappy toaster -- here's my receipt."

BTW, you have to use the pm system and not go offline to texts until it's all been confirmed by pm. You go rogue and you lose the paper trail.

But for the record, I’ve got absolutely no issue whatsoever with palmettomoon pulling on an orange jumpsuit and bunking with the boys in the Big House.

Bill of Sale protects the buyer by providing some evidence the gun wasn't stolen.

I get that, but if you buy a new gun from a dealer there is a paper trail. My name is attached to several that way.

I don't care one way or the other, I'm just commenting about what a BOS is supposed to do. As a seller, I'll offer one if the buyer wants it, but I don't require one.
