Black tail deer?

This morning around 08:45 I saw a deer that had black fur where the normal Georgia are white.

Now I’m not a hunter but at 71 I’ve seen thousands of deer and even killed a few with my truck but this was a first.

Are they rare? A species of “black tailed “ deer are known on the west coast.

No rack.

I looked that up. That may be what I've been seeing in my back yard lately. I thought there might be somethin wrong with him. He's at least a 9 pointer, non typical

Well I thought he looked old and maybe sickly. His body is kinda short for the rest of him. And his mid section towards the back looked slender to me. One side of his rack is typical the other side not. Very dark coat when I first saw him, still summer time.
