saw 2 amigos at a gas station filling gas cans in the back of a pickup, they were lawn service guys, and BOTH of them were smoking. I got on my way asap.
I once watched a guy fuel a riding lawnmower from a gas can, with a lit cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Head literally right over the fill opening, cigarette dangling not more than 3 feet from where the gas was flowing.
He should have blown up right then and there. Not sure how he didn't.

You could throw a cigarette in there and it wouldn’t ignite.
Man todays gas, I can drop a lit cigarette in a bucket of it and it will not ignite.
Because that’s not how that works.
