I’ve never seen a bobcat with a tail. Housecats go feral quickly, coloration changes within a few generations. This cat likely consumes a fair number of rats and mice but also no doubt quite a few rabbits and would eat quail if there were any left. Let your conscience be your guide.

More wild house cats prowling woods than people realize. The coyotes get a few of them
