Believe me, out of necessity, I've lowered my standards, a LOT.
It just wasn't very good. But I've had worse (unfortunately).
My kingdom for a shrimp po-boy from Olde Tyme Grocery in Lafayette, LA....
I feel your pain. Red beans and rice is normally the polite go to. Sort of hard to screw that up... though I've that too!Yeah..I have been a couple times...I have really struggled to find anything truly authentic in Georgia...
Boudreaux's wasn't bad but no where has been consistent...
Yeah I've heard enough passionate debate on both sides I feel obligated to eventually try it out.its a ways from where you live but you will not be disappointed in Henrys its in Acworth
Crawfish in September...A non Cajun friend wanted to treat me to lunch today. He raved about AJ's. I had a half shrimp half crawfish. The shrimp was 'ok', the crawfish was very suspect. He (employee) swore it was from Louisiana. I've never eaten crawfish that tasted like 3 day old oysters before.
He admitted they were frozen. I can live with that (it's the only way I survive year round). I can't live with the "mystery meat" flavor.Crawfish in September...
Yep, good stuff and about 2 miles from my mom's house on St Louis Street! My kingdom for a shrimp po-boy from Olde Tyme Grocery in Lafayette, LA....
