Bought a Vortex scope today

What is there not made in China, in the same price range, that functions are accurately and reliably? What are the improvements?
You have me by the short hairs. I am completely scope ignorant. I mean that! I used to love the Nikon M series scopes because they were accurate, reliable and super clear. That was my go to for years. When they went defunct I just went dumb. I know you guys will get a kick out of those statements but that's the way I feel about optics.

You couldn't beat the deal with a 2x4. Hmmm, I bet I could......LOL, I just had to say that.
Well for a rimfire which is where it will eventually end up it will be fine. I was going to put on my Mark ll 22 mag. after I test it out on one of the rifles that need a scope immediately. I'll just keep sending them back till I get a decent one. Or condom into an upgrade by going on the warpath about quality and internet exposure. LOL

yep, it was such a good deal he's already planning to replace it before he even has it in hand.
That scope is just a temporary scope. I plan on keeping it but I was just going to switch it between a few rifles until it finds a permanent place on my rimfire.

Will you guys cut me some slack. I know you guys to like the rib me but just for the sake of seriousness bear with me on this segment.

I'm just asking about particular brands of scope just to get some idea of the quality of that particular brand. It's not that I'm ignoring the information it's just that I'm asking for general purposes. You can never get enough information about Scopes especially about ones that you want to cross off the list or put down as acceptable options.

The Vortex viper HS was given as an option and that was actually a scope I was really looking at hard and I actually have in my cart at sportsman's Warehouse here in Lynchburg. But I'm getting mixed signals about chinese-made scopes this that and the other and a lot of the Vortex scopes are made overseas. So I'm running around in circles because I cannot afford a trijicon or a night Force.

Also one scope that is good for one person might not be good for another. Reticle designs and other features might not fit what I like and what another person likes so it's not just a one scope does all situation.
