Bowling Pin Match at Norcross Gun Club

Good shooting y'all!

Man, Oliver was on fire - multiple turns under 5 seconds. He's gonna be hard to catch up with!

Seriously, I don't think I could afford to shoot as much as it would take to get to his level....put the MOJO on him on the last two rounds and his times went up. Should've put the MOJO on sooner!

This may have already been addressed but I'm too lazy to read through 8 pages to find the answer lol. Is a 9mm too small to do this? Norcross is the closest gun range to my apartment.

I felt that the pins were getting really heavy towards the end and just weren't jumping off table anymore. Tactical note to self: get some good runs in early because come the last run you'll be wishing you had something bigger than a 45 and won't score worth a dam. (maybe it can be like tennis - ball/pin changes after a certain point!)

Jake brought up a good point last night. Let's say 15 guys are shooting 5 rounds. By the end of the shoot, those pins have 75 bullets in 'em, ranging from 124 grain up to 230gr. Those suckas are gettin' heavy!

I'm with you, it seemed like they just fell over towards the end of the shooting. Even the range officer said he'd never seen so many pins knocked over but not knocked off. I'm tinkering with the idea of a .22 for the next one.

All in all, was a great time!

I was thinking about that too. Maybe they should change the pins out half way through. We didn't have that problem last time because there were only 6 of us.

Yeah man, I could tell a difference in the weight when we were setting them back up towards the end of the night.

I'm gonna give it one more try with the 1911 and see if I can get outta 2nd place and after that I'm thinking about shooting my Model 29 .44Mag.

Yes sir, it was an awesome time. Maybe next time Randy will come too. :boink:

I'm afraid I may have to try the .22 route next time. My 9's are good shooters but not necessarily target guns (although the 101 year old Luger would look cool). I don't have any .45 hollow points. And I just did an inventory of my 10mm hollow-points, only enough for a couple of matches.

So, here is what I'm going to give a try next time. Will have to shoot it one-handed, and I'm hoping the .22's don't have to be hp's. Got plenty of solids but no hp .22's.

Sweet! I got plenty of .22 HP's. I'll bring some next time we shoot so you can see if they cycle in your gun.
