Brake clean VS Cosmoline.

Stuff works pretty dang good. Just don't get it on your hands. It melts cosmoline like butter but you gotta oil the shyt outa whatever you put the stuff on, just not your brakes don't oil your brakes for GOD's sake.

An old timer back in the day told me to use that to remove oil or grease stains on clothing and carpet.

Don’t use it on no camo wrapped guns I found out the hard way on a new browning.

While it is an excellent de-greaser, be careful using it as it may damage the finish and can soften certain types of plastics.

Yeah no plastic in Yugo ak mags but it will rust the metal if you don't oil it afterwards.

Funny thing Deet melts plastic as well but we put it on our skin.

Diesel fuel works, doesn't hurt plastics or rubber.
