Brake clean VS Cosmoline.

is there anything break clean cant do?
When the browning gold come out,I purchased a camo one from factory.we shot doves every day for two weeks in s.ga.i would take brake cleaner on my old 1100 and just spray the hell out of it and keep hammering daily.when I sprayed that browning that camo just started melting.nothing but a synthetic stock under that camo.lol
Cheap hairspray has a lot of acetone in it if you don't have brake cleaner. Just make sure to use the cheap stuff and not the good stuff. There is a reason women's hair used to catch on fire sometimes near an open flame.
Does that leave a sticky residue?
Back in my Mosin days I used to get q 5 gallon bucket of gas and throw the parts in it and set it in the sun. After a couple hours the gunk would just wipe off. Cheaper than brake spray for bulk cleaning.
i've watched the maintenance guys use it to blast the grease off their skin and ballcaps lots of times. I know a person needs safety glasses when spraying it cause it burns like hades if it gets in your eye....🧐
I didn’t think about brakleen. Just cleaned an Albanian SKS that was covered in cosmoline. Was a job using parts washer.
