Brilliant Idea! - Infographics Thread for SHTF & Helpful Tips for Everyday Life

HaHa... timely FOR SURE!

Y'all please be safe... this is going to be a SERIOUS STORM for a LOT of people.

Great post with lots of new designs! I.e. ways to use the terrain effectively.
Couple notes on snow shelters:

1. Post a big marker outside the shelter....you are very well camouflaged! A snow plow or snowmobile could be fatal!

2. Ski pole/stick is essential to maintain a small vent hole.

3. ONE candle is the perfect heater....2 candles will start melting the inside.....been there, soggy mess.

4. Round or angle the ceiling with your glove to prevent drips from forming above you. Snow will melt and re freeze, glazing and sealing the ceiling.

5. The "sleep shelf" being above the top of the doorway really does keep the cold air out...rather it pools below the shelf and you stay warm above it.

6. It takes 2 days for the snow to settle and lock in place, reducing the danger of collapse.
