Browning Citori

Got this on a trade. I know there are several different variations of the Browning Citori. All I know is that it has a Invector plus special steel marked on the side. Just looking to see what this is exactly and how much it’s worth.

NN= 1999
131 is generic for Citori made since 1998. (Those made between 1976 and 1997 had a unique identifier for the last 3 digits so it was simple to determine the exact type).

Based on what appears to be a grade 1 gloss stock, field recoil pad, basic engraving, flush chokes and the rounded grip it is most likely a "Grade 1 Lightning"
The action and barrels are the same as a grade 1 field with the only difference being the rounded grip.

When looking for comparable values on GB, search for completed auctions "Browning Citori Lightning Grade 1 Invector Plus 12GA" and see if the pictures match yours.

26" and 28" barrels tend to be more popular for those who are using them for hunting and 30" and 32" more popular with those who shoot clay target sports, but there is no set rule.

The more I look into it the more I’d want to keep it. I don’t hunt or shoot clays but I like the culture behind it.
