That's what they look like to me.

Wouldn't they also interchange with the old Browning A5 also?
No. I have both in the same gauges, and they don't interchange. FWIW, those look more like A5 forearms, as Remington never used that pattern of checkering (that I've ever seen).

The two forums that are shown have a metal insert installed in the front that appear to have recessed screw off holes. I did look up the patent number which was stamped on them and the patent was owned by the Browning Company in 1930 which led me to believe they are Browning.
After reviewing these could possibly be Remington 1100 and they are New Old Stock they do not appear to have ever been used or mounted, the wood appears to be Walnut.
Your help would be appreciated I'd like to offer one to someone who can use it on ODT at a heavily discounted price oh, and the rest will probably go to GunBroker

Could the metal ring possibly be a support peace that is meant to be removed? I do have a copy of the original drawings from 1930 that were submitted to the US patent office

No, the metal with dimples are for a forend nut with a spring loaded detent ball in it. The detent ball seats into those dimples to hold it tight.

Okay before I start there is also this one that has been puzzling me. The overall length is 10 + 5/8 oh, it is somewhat flat. The small hole is approximately .0465 in.
It is a very fancy wood it has been used but it also has some very beautiful hand checkering
Just for my reference at this point I'm calling it the fancy diamond

The aperture opening is .3975 approx
To the outside of the Ring at the aperture opening end .7840
The overall length is 10.5"
And the barrel shelf is .8513

That looks like a 740, 742, 7400, Remington forend, maybe some type of limited edition or something.
