Hey guys, I have an interesting old shotgun that I'm hoping someone can offer some info on. It is an early Browning automatic. Looks like an auto 5, but isn't marked as such. It is a 16 gauge, but not marked as a sweet 16. Most interesting is the 4-digit serial number, 8759. Barrel is marked Browning Arms Company St Louis, MO, Special Steel 16 Gauge Shells 2-3/4. It obviously has been well used, as the checkering on the wrist is completely smooth. It has a cutts compensator on it as well. Anyone have any idea of when it was made, or value? Sorry about the crappy photos.
