Building AR lower....confused.

Shouldn't be that hard ... SOMETHING is wrong with either the assembly or parts!
A Lack of pictures isn't helping to solve the problem! Better post some B4 you start filing on anything!

This. Either the lower or tube is out of spec.

The tube has extra material before the start of the first thread. I had to remove about .018" of material. It fits nice and snug now. I just wrapped some 150 grit around a piece of wood and twisted it back and forth like a bottle cap. Wasn't very fast but it did work.
