Building first AR15

I've built complete rifles, including upper, and built just lowers and used a manufacturers upper. The biggest difference in accuracy I've seen comes down to the barrel with quality cold hammer forged barrels being the best in my experience.

If you only want a complete upper, I’ll double down on BCM.

Someone mentioned SOLGW. Either way, great quality, lots of available configurations and they’re both very reasonably priced for what you get.
BCM might still have the free bcg with an upper purchase thing they do. AND you get a ****load of stickers. 😂

If you are going for accuracy. Use a BCM upper. The bcm upper is the only upper i have put together that i needed to heat the upper with a heat gun to get the barrel in. And yes bcm recommends that. For accuracy that gun with a 18 inch Lothar barrel is shooting a 3 inch group according to Shot Marker at 600 yards.

Centurion Arms, and a few other companies, also offer upper receivers that require thermal fitting.
