I'd contact the Ammo manufacturer. They will probably send out a shipping label and have it picked up from your home and offer a replacement. Winchester did this for me with some .22LR. I bought centerfire rifle ammo with the replacement certificate they sent.

That's a good thought. I might be able to find the box, those rounds are gone though. I do have an identical box that I purchased at the same time as those rounds.

I called Smith and they said they would send me a return label to ship it to them. I'm the original owner, so they said any issues would fall under their lifetime warranty. I'm pretty tempted to go ahead and send it in even though it's most likely just bad ammo. At least it will have been inspected and deemed safe by Smith.

This was done before it left S&W the first time. You are wasting your time and theirs. Buy some good ammo and don't give it another thought. There is no way this was caused by the pistol, it is 100% ammo related.

Doubt smith and wesson is going to do anything for you on this one. This is an ammo problem. I've got close to 500 rounds through my shield with all kinds of cheap ammo including some of my low power reloads. All have worked flawlessly

The problems I had with brass max was that the bullet wasn't crimped properly on 3 or 4 rds. The bullet would collapse inside the case causing it to jam.
