Sorry for the injury, but growing up is dangerous.
I purposely didn't install the bottom steps of the ladder so that the top bunk wasn't accessible. It was a solid compromise for my wife that we both thought would be okay until he got older. No clue how he made it up there.
Agreed. One of the nurses said that broken bones aren't as common because kids never go outside anymore.
Poor little guy.
Took it like a champ. Not a peep the entire way to the ER. Only time he wasn't happy was when they moved his arm for the x-ray.
It happens. Our 2 YO climbed out of his crib and then fell and broke his collar bone. Don't freak out if the doctors ask you probing questions about accident. They just want sure it was an accident and not something else.
They already did. I answered them honestly and they seemed satisfied.
