I ain’t going to Africa personally, lol! But I will disclose that I would vote “No”. Too much unnecessary hoopla in that scope IMHO. But I have a relative going whom I gave a Trijicon AccuPower 4-16X that has considered using instead of the Burris. I am just curious of the ODT’s thoughts on that Burris for a bucket list hunt!

Milling reticle - dope your rifle - know your dope. If I'm taking an expensive trip, I'm going out with proven, quality kit, and a backup set-up that is just as quality and proven.

If you want some electronics involved, I'd look at a Revic. You can have the range finding ability, but also have a fallback if those electronics fail and they are decent scopes. Just pricey for the glass quality.

Use a good scope, zero in Africa, and use a ballistic solution when you zero. Use the same lot of ammo, laser range finder, and pre-determine ballistic solutions at various distances that you anticipate firing. Doing all manual is same as using a ballistic computing scope.
