I've purchased a Ruger GSR in .308 Win from a local pawn shop and I've been stunned at the accuracy of the rifle with 168 grain SMKs and H4895. With the factory iron sights on an SR-1 target I've gotten less than an inch for 6 shot groups. That sort of makes this a 'keeper' although I'm not enamored with the 'scout rifle' concept.
I want to try an optic and I've looked at Vortex and Leupold and Burris. It seem the only other company that offers a BDC on a scout scope is Leatherwood and their quality gets panned all over the place, so they're out.
Anyone have any real experience with long eye relief scopes on rifles care to comment or recommend a scope and model?
Interestingly enough the rifle shoots about 3" high with an Omega installed vs. the ASR brake alone.
