Buyer Beware!!! Don’t buy from SgAmmo over $100 without insurance

My go-to supplier for many years, never an issue. Always get insurance….

Ammo theft is a well known problem with UPS.

Buy the insurance.

The requirement for a label on a box containing ammo, makes it easy for a crook to see it's ammo.

Apparently there are a lot of insurance salesmen here. This isn’t the first time a shipper has lost something for me. Normally you just contact the seller and they will resend or refund and handle the problem with the company they hired to do a job. Insurance should only be needed for rare or extremely expensive and unreplacable items. You have no choice with the shipper and nothing is discreet about the packaging. And to top it off they claimed I recived all of the items even though ups stated other wise. It wasn’t stolen off my porch. This was just a psa to buy their insurance because they will not assist once they have your money. Kinda shady.

You have to uncheck the insurance box and acknowledge you are declining insurance. The insurance is less than $5 and your order was probably shipped free. You got what you paid for. And I'm calling BS on receiving half an order. I've never gotten more than 1 box from ups on an ammo order, even when it was over 50lbs....

You're wrong and everyone is telling you so, but you just won't listen. The seller is not liable if the shipment is lost/stolen after it is turned over to the common carrier. You chose to not get the insurance to save yourself $5. Congratulations.

SG Ammo is probably the top place to purchase ammo online in terms of price, selection, shipping cost, and speed of shipping.

Don’t purchase from these crooks! I ordered a case of 45aarp and a case of .22lr. They only ship through ups and guess what. The case of .22 was stolen out of the ups depot in Atlanta. I received the 45 and an email stating that they found an empty box and discarded it. I contacted sgammo and they pretty much said sorry about your luck and you should’ve purchased the insurance. So I’m out $350. It’s a ****ty world we live in where you have to purchase insurance to protect yourself from people theiving at their own places of employment. If you decide to use them, just go ahead and factor in insurance in price per round. Pricing is worse than other places that include insurance in their pricing. Rant over!

I had this happen. File a police report and do a charge-back on your card. You do not have to purchase shipping insurance. It is the responsibility of the company you purchased from to get the order to you.
